THE MORTGAGE Process

1. Speak to us to find out how much you can borrow 
2. Once we know how much you can borrow, we can research to find the best deal. (If you are 
purchasing a property, now would be the time to find your dream home!)
3. Once you've found a property, it is now time to submit your mortgage application to the lender. 
We will go through any queries you have and put your mind at ease before gaining your permission 
to submit your details to the mortgage lender to get your 'Decision in Principle'. This means that the 
lender has carried out their initial credit check. 
4. Following the successful Decision in Principle, we will then go ahead and submit the full 
mortgage application. This is where the application will be processed and underwriters will assess
your application and request any further information or documents from you to support the information
we have told them.
5. Your mortgage offer will be issued subject to satisfactory underwriting and property valuation
6. The legal side - this is where your appointed solicitor will request documents from you, and your 
sellers solicitor if applicable, in order to proceed to completion of your mortgage. PURCHASE 
APPPLICATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO JULL LEGAL ENQUIRES AND EXCHANGE OF CONTRACTS 
7. Completion - This is where the mortgage has gone through legally and the mortgage has started. IN THE 
CASE OF PURCHASES, THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL GET YOUR KEYS! 
IN THE CASE OF REMORTGAGES, THIS IS WHERE THE SOLICITOR WILL REPAY YOUR CURRENT MORTGAGE AND 
YOUR NEW MORTGAGE WILL START
